Graham Clarke

Central Leadership Team and Bridge the Gap Operations and Wellbeing Manager

Graham is a member of our leadership team and our Community Pastor. Alongside his wife Lou, he also heads up Bridge The Gap - an initiative reaching out to those who live in our immediate community. Graham is passionate about church unity and serving the local community.

James Henson

Minister (in training)

James has been part of SBC since 2013, serving as Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor before becoming Minister (in training) in September 2025. His passion is spiritual formation, helping people live lives as day-to-day followers of the way of Jesus.

Mark Rogers

Central Leadership Team 'CLT' and Finance Vision Leader

Mark is responsible for providing spiritual oversight to the finances of the church. Mark works full-time with the Met Office as an Advisor to the emergency response community. He is passionate to see people find communities where they can share life together and has a special desire to see Men Gathering in order to support each other in their Christian walk.

Lizzie Manktelow

Central Leadership Team 'CLT'

Lizzie and her husband got married and moved to Aylesbury in 2023 when they then chose to make SBC their spiritual home. Since joining the church she has become involved in the worship group, the Discipleship Project and became a member of the Central Leadership Team in May 2025. Lizzie brings a creative, thoughtful, passionate and discerning voice to the team.

Gareth Bithell

Central Leadership Team 'CLT'

Gareth is passionate about the local church, believing it is God's chosen vehicle for bringing hope and restoration to the world. He is at his happiest when hiking in the mountains with the people he loves, enjoying the majestic beauty of God's creation. He also enjoys reading, supporting Liverpool FC, and having a good conversation over a pint. Professionally, he works for a careers guidance company that provides schools with a platform to help students raise their aspirations and make good decisions about their future studies and careers.

Ben Foster

Central Leadership Team 'CLT'

Ben is a member of the CLT, and is passionate about the Kingdom of God enriching lives here on Earth now! On Sundays, he can often be found behind the drumkit, where he does his best to drown out the rest of the worship band. On weekdays, he teaches 10-year-olds in a little primary school near Buckingham, and has a particular responsibility for the mental health and wellbeing of the students and staff in the school, and especially enjoys teaching English and history. When he's not teaching, marking books or drumming, Ben enjoys reading and swapping book recommendations, and is also a trustee of a small charity called Healthtree Uganda.

Emmanuel Appenteng

Central Leadership Team 'CLT'

Emmanuel has been part of SBC for the past 7 years. He has been inspired by the vision of the leadership that seeks to serve the local community and strives to become an ever-growing place of grace, hope, help and healing. Emmanuel is a leader within Lifekidz recognising that the church places value on children and the next generation, which always creates excitement in his heart. Emmanuel has been on the Central Leadership Team since May 2025.

Matt Burridge

Central Leadership Team and Associate Youth Leader

Matt grew up in Enfield before moving to Aylesbury and joining SBC in 2016, getting involved in and helping James lead our various youth groups. Matt has a real passion for helping young people find their place and voice in Church as they start adulthood, and heads up the Open House Lifegroup for young adults. Matt’s an Arsenal fan, enjoys photography (especially while travelling), and is interested in all things Tolkien/Lord of the Rings.

Lou Clarke

Central Leadership Team and Bridge the Gap Coordinator

Lou heads up our Bridge the Gap work which works to support and signpost those struggling in our local community. Her main role is overseeing the food bank which operates twice a week. Lou's passion is to see people's lives transformed as our church community grows and develops.

Josh Lane

Youth Worker

Josh has lived in Aylesbury since 2010 and joined the staff team in February 2023 as our Youth Leader where he oversees all the youth work throughout the week. He loves encountering the transformative presence and power of Holy Spirit and helping others find the same transformation!

Liz Zealey

Central Leadership Team & Operations Manager

Liz has been our Church Operations Manager since January 2010. Her passion is to see people develop and be released for service in line with their gifts and calling. She has been a member of the Central Leadership Team since December 2018.

Hannah Lowe

Bridge the Gap Funding and Communications Manager

Hannah is the fundraiser for the Church, joining the team in September 2023. Hannah has grown up in the Church and even got married here. She has a passion for serving the local community and is really enjoying her new role.

Julie Marshall

Assistant Operations Manager

Julie works in the office to help with all the things that happen throughout the week. Her passion is serving the community and she loves, travelling, coffee and chocolate.

Sam Searle

Deputy Bridge The Gap Coordinator

Sam works in the office and helps run Bridge the Gap foodbank along with Graham and Lou. She absolutely loves what she does here serving the community and organising the day to day running of the food bank

Kate Evans

Bridge the Gap Assistant

Kate started as a member of staff in September 2025 but has been volunteering at the food bank for a while. She is a hands on member of the team taking all the bookings and liaising with all our guests. She loves serving our local community.

Laura Burns

Deputy Pre-School Leader

As well as being our co-deputy with Lis, Laura leads our 2 year olds. She holds a level 3 in childcare and has worked in childcare settings for over 6 years. Laura is passionate about extending the knowledge of her 2 year olds and creates stimulating and inviting activities to help the children flourish on their individual journeys.

Elisabeth Foster

Deputy Pre-School Leader

As well as being our co-deputy with Laura, Lis leads our 3-4 year olds. She has just completed her level 3 in childcare and has worked for the Treehouse Pre-School since September 2017. Prior to working in our setting Lis spent some time in China, volunteering in an orphanage. Lis is passionate about creating a fun and creative setting that enables children to be ready to start their school journey!

Charlotte Baldwin

Pre-School Leader

As well as being our Lead, Charlotte is also our SENDCO. She holds a level 3 in childcare and SEN. Working in childcare for over 10 years, she joined our pre-school in September 2021 with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Charlotte believes that behind every strong team there are strong and confident children!

Aiysha Begum

Early Years Assistant

Aiysha started with us in April 2024 with a level 3 in Early Years. Aiysha is working alongside Lis to support our 3-4 years olds getting ready for school. Aiysha loves getting involved in messy play, her fun and warm nature attracts the children, which helps her to support them in the best way possible.

Naomi Vickery

Early Years Assistant

Naomi started with us in September 2023 and is completing her early years training. Naomi loves playing hide and seek, football and dancing with the children. Her fun and warm nature stimulates the children's minds and helps them develop their social skills.

Emily Gibbon

Early Years Assistant

Emily has a level 2 in childcare, she loves being part of nature and will go on long forest walks with her daughter every weekend. Emily loves reading and listening to music and will create fun and exciting activities around this, for the children to enjoy at the pre-school.

Warda Zeeshan

Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

Warda has been looking after children with special education needs for a few years. She completed her degree in Pakistan where she helped teach children from two to twelve years old. Warda loves being part of the pre-school team and will work alongside Charlotte to support the children that require some extra support in their own individual journeys.

Sehrish Iqbal

Early Years Assistant

Sehrish started with us in September 2025. She is working alongside Lis to support our 3-4 year olds getting ready for school. Sehrish enjoys arts and crafts, using her own experience as a mother to meet the children at their level, which supports them in their journey with us.

He has come so that we may have life and have it to the full!
