The Source approach emphasises.....
Awe before God
Our first priority is God, displaying him in all we do and
aiming for reverence, passion and wonder in our response. Therefore
you'll discover a generous focus on prayer.
The Bible
The Bible is the primary way God speaks to us by his Spirit,
and is woven into all we do. Expositional teaching that explains the
Bible clearly to all is central.
A recognisably church experience
Our main meetings on Sunday morning welcome all the family
(from youngest tot to oldest grandparent), whether you are a
Christian or not.
You will find a generous focus on family, friendship, prayer,
teaching, children and singing, all within a lively but structured
'recognisable' church experience. We aim to finish by 10.45
with refreshments and a chance to socialise.
After fifteen minutes of family praise there are separate
classes for babies through to school year 9.
In our main meetings we intend to do a number of things: to
declare how good and great God is; to encourage each other in our
lives and faith in Jesus; and to help those exploring Jesus and
Christianity to learn about him through the Bible and being part of
our community. This is shown through our three distinctive
features of awe before God, the Bible being taught, and being a
welcoming church for all.
Each week you will find in our programme (see link at
bottom of page) a study on the same passage that you can use yourself, with
friends and family, or in one of our mid-week small groups.
